The 1-3 mm fraction is burnt over the heating coil of an electric smoker. The coarser 3-8 mm fraction is designed for Dymbox smoke generators and is the only one available in 15 kg packs. Beech is also ideal for the grill, where the aroma of the wood gives the food a flavour that a gas grill alone cannot provide.
