The thermostat automatically switches the heating on and off based on the settings and the temperature detected by its own sensor. For precise monitoring of the temperature inside the smoking chamber, we recommend using a separate smoker thermometer.

Is it also suitable for cold smoking?

The coil itself is primarily intended for heating. For cold smoking, we recommend a separate smoke generator, as the heating coil increases the temperature in the smoker during operation.
