What is activated carbon used?

Why is it worth choosing our activated carbon?

It is best to use carbon if the alcohol content does not exceed 45% - the higher it is, the harder it is to separate impurities in the distillate.
Keep the liquid temperature as low as possible - it is recommended to freeze it in the freezer beforehand - so that the adsorption of carbon impurities is as high as possible).
Pour (rinse) the carbons 2-3 times with boiling water through a sieve - after this simple 'procedure' they are directly suitable for pouring into the filter tube and then alcohol filtration can begin.
The used carbon is characterised by a worse taste of the filtered distillate - if you are no longer satisfied with it, add some fresh carbon.
If you do not have a filter tube, an ordinary glass is enough, into which you pour alcohol and the appropriate portion of carbon (it is assumed that 50 g of activated carbon is needed to clean 1 litre of alcohol), and then set it aside for 2-3 weeks in a dark place and shake it from time to time. The disadvantage of this method is the time consumption, while when using a filter tube the final result is identical.

Carbons are not for single use - they can be used repeatedly until the maximum amount of distillate is filtered per 1 pack!
1 pack of carbon is enough to filter approximately 60 l of distillate.
