How to choose a garden grill

The heat source, grate size and lid are the deciding factors. Charcoal gives food a traditional smoky flavour and can be lit using a chimney starter. Gas heats up within a few minutes, and you control the temperature directly via the burners. Pellet and electric grills don't require manual stoking. Choose the size based on the number of diners. Weber Q 1100N offers an area of 1 290 cm², while the Spirit E-310 provides 2 340 cm². A lid with a thermometer maintains the temperature and enables indirect grilling. Which version to choose

• Gas grills from the Weber Q, Spirit and Genesis series have one to four burners. El Fuego offers two to six burners, and higher ranges also include a side burner for side dishes, with power ranging from just under 5 kW to 22.7 kW.
• Charcoal grills start with the portable Smokey Joe with a 37 cm diameter and range up to the 67 cm kettle and Summit Kamado E6 kamado. Our brand's Dagr festive grills feature 2 mm sheet metal and heat-resistant paint up to 600 °C.
• Smokers and multi-functional grills are grills with a smoking chamber. El Fuego Kiona and Minnesota offset models feature a separate firebox and an adjustable chimney. Buffalo smokes at under 100 °C. Boston adds a plancha and a pizza oven.
