How to Choose a Wooden Smoker
The chamber capacity is the deciding factor. Small and medium smokers hold 10 kg of meat and are suitable for sausages, lard and back bacon. Large double-chamber XXL and XXXL models can hold 20 kg. The 4XL hunter's smoker handles 30 to 40 kg.
You can choose between a burnt or unburnt chamber surface. Customers more often choose the burnt models.
Which version to choose
- Premium Smokers Hrist and Mist feature a semi-circular metal roof and an XXL firebox measuring 45 x 25 x 25 cm. Depending on the size, they hold between 15 and 45 kg of meat.
- Bestla and Nessa smokers stand on metal legs and feature double doors with fittings. Bestla is also available in a 4XL version with two chambers for 20 kg.
- Smokers with a sheet metal roof are suitable for those who keep the smoker outdoors. These are available in medium and large double-chamber sizes, as well as the 4XL hunter's version.
- The smoker with a folding roof has a side shelf for placing items and allows you to see into the chamber from above.
- Electric Wooden Smokers Manve and Tulkas combine a wooden chamber with electric heating. Manve features a smoke generator and holds 18 kg.
- Metal and Steel Smokers are an alternative if you do not want a wooden chamber.
What is Included with a Wooden Smoker
Smokers with a firebox include a heavy-duty sheet metal firebox with a grate and temperature control, a 100 cm pipe, and an elbow joint for the chamber. Bestla and Nessa have an XL firebox 40 x 25 x 25 cm, while the 4XL hunter's version has a 30 x 25 x 25 cm firebox. The delivery includes a thermometer, meat hanging hooks, and a removable smoke deflector for smokers with a firebox.
Smokers with a firebox are assembled with screws, allowing you to dismantle and store them after smoking. Assembly is described in the wooden smoker assembly instructions. You can find spare parts for smokers in the smoker parts section.
